This Is my finished Releif sculpture. This is my 3rd attempt as I messed around with the eys alot and never got it right on the last 2. Im happy with how the mouth turned out and the nose shape.
These are my stamps. I made a triangle out of coils, I was just testing out how it would look. Theres a heart, a leaf, a star, a m initial, and a oblong shape to create patterns
These are watermelon earrings made with slabs. we didnt have black under glaze at the time so the seeds are not there. i had troubles cutting two triangles of the same size but they came out nice in the end.
this is a slab I made to hang in a garden area. i used a round bowl to cut out a circle. Unfortunately I placed it on the wrong shelf so it was placed in the kiln before i could add more layers of under glaze.
this is a pinch pot with a round lid. I like to have long nails and it wasn't a problem until we made pinch pots.i had to use a wooden tool to make this as my nails made to many scratches. it turned out great but it took a long time to make.
Another pinch pot. I actually combined 2 to make this one taller and cut the top off and made a lid. I couldnt think of what to do with it so i added a wave design and added holes. I ended up making an incense jar.
My first animal sculpture. I made a fox but wasn't happy with its legs. I was happy with the texture on the legs. However when I took it off the shelf to glaze it broke apart.
I glazed the incense jar, i was mixing colors and ended up making 3 different colors. I wish that i made it a solid color now because i'm not a fan of how it turned out in the end.
My second animal sculpture. This one is a cubic pig sculpture. i love the way the legs and head came out. I am excited to glaze this piece.
Pig decoration. I cut my nails and it made it a lot easier to do pinch pots. this is two pinch pots made into a sphere. i cut a mouth out and added ears and am going to color it pink like a pig. there are two dots for where the eyes are going.
Another animal sculpture. I felt inspired to make a colorful caterpillar. this was a little time consuming as the sections are each separate balls of clay. I want to paint this one in rainbow colors.
Glazed incense jar. after being fired with under glaze I gave it three coats of crystal clear glaze. this will give it the shiny glass like coating while keeping the colors under.
This is my pinch pot cut in half, It is pretty even for my first pinch pot attempt. I did the normal method but i widened it a little to early as you see it becoming a cone shape.
